You
Are you an artist/musician/poet/writer/etc? Do you have a website?
The internet is quickly becoming the first place that people turn to when they want to find information. If you have work that you want to be able to share with people easily, a website is a must. And setting one up isn't as complicated as you might think.
Me
My name is Mike Stenta and I'm an artist/farmer/computer geek currently living in Connecticut. I've been working with web design and construction for the past 10 years, specializing in websites for artists and other individuals. I grew up in a small town in Connecticut, where I designed, coded, and updated sites for artists and dealers including Yosefa Drescher Fine Art, Adam Niklewicz, Frank Noelker, and James Kimura-Green. I also designed and constructed the website for the University of Connecticut's college/community radio station 91.7fm WHUS.
Most recently, I've made websites for FiveMyles, a performace art gallery in Brooklyn, New York, Dharma Ridge Farm, a certified-organic family farm in Washington, and Art Scene Design, an interior decorating artist duo that specializes in murals and finishes in New York, Florida, and Connecticut.
10 years of hand-coding websites has made me extremelly efficient at setting up new sites and updating existing ones. I'm fluent in (X)HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL, and have extensive experience with Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other industry standard development programs.
I work with a number of clients exclusively over the internet as well, working together via phone, email, and Skype to design and update their websites.
If you've been thinking about getting a website to showcase your work or organization, or if you need help updating or redesigning an existing site, send me a message. I can walk you through the whole process, and give you an idea of how much work it will take to put it all together.
